Goat Colostrum for Immune Health

What is CapraColostrum?

It’s the thick yellow fluid which is produced as a precursor to mother’s milk (cow, goat, human or other mammal). It is nature’s transfer of immune factors that occurs the first two days postpartum.

CapraColostrum by Mt. Capra is unique because it’s from goats—meaning it’s from a source that is closest to human milk, providing the two most important components for overall health—immune and growth factors. It has shown to be easily tolerated even by those with the most compromised immune systems, including victims of chemical sensitivities. Colostrum from Mt. Capra comes from goats that are never fed synthetic growth-hormones, antibiotics or feed that contains pesticides or herbicides—the true essence of natural. Furthermore, it is processed using Refractance Window™ drying equipment—proprietary heat transfer technology that gently and efficiently removes moisture from delicate product while preserving excellent nutrient levels.

Research has shown that colostrum has powerful life supporting immune & growth factors that ensure the health and security of the newborn. While supporting healthy immune function, colostrum also enables us to resist the negative effects of contaminates and allergens. In addition the growth factors in colostrum enhances one's ability to burn fat, add muscle mass and rejuvenate skin & cellular function.

Although many individuals are allergic to or intolerant of milk and products derived from it, colostrum is NOT milk, its composition is much different and tolerated by the most sensitive individuals…after all, it’s nature’s first food.

How does colostrum work?

CapraColostrum is extremely beneficial in that it provides the body with powerful immune factors. Some medical research says the presence of a wide spectrum of Immunoglobulins, Antibodies and Powerful Immune & Growth factors found in colostrum can be of wide therapeutic help for optimal health & wellness. Colostrum has the unique ability to support normal cell growth & tissue repair.

Colostrum and your immune system.

CapraColostrum provides immune supportive agents called Immunoglobulins which include IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG & IgM. These antibodies naturally fight off bacteria, viruses, allergens & yeast. They can also promote muscle growth and aid in the production of immune cells.

CapraColostrum is harvested from our own goats which are never given hormones or antibiotics. CapraColostrum is collected from the first two days postpartum lacteal secretions.

What are the benefits of colostrum supplementation?

First of all, there are over 90 known health-enhancing components in colostrum, the primary being immune and growth factors. Immune factors in colostrum have been shown to:

  • Fight harmful viruses, bacteria, yeast and funguses
  • Provide over 20 antibodies effective against E. coli, salmonella, rotavirus, candida, streptococcus, staphylococcus,  H. pylori, and crystosporidia
  • Contain immunoglobulins (IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG & IgM) that have a multiple purpose:
    • Support compromised immune system
    • Balance overactive immune responses such as those in autoimmune disorder
    • Promote muscle growth
  • Contain lactoferrin, an iron-binding protein with antiviral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties

Growth factors in colostrum help build and restore:

  • Bone, muscle, nerve tissue, connective tissue, skin & cartilage
  • Lean muscle mass & burn body fat for fuel
  • Skin collagen and epithelial growth factors to protect and slow the aging process
  • Tissue and support integrity of the gut lining

Additional benefits of colostrum supplementation include:

  • Immunoglobulins that neutralize and protect the intestinal wall from dangerous toxins
  • Encourages health-enhancing intestinal bacteria like acidophilus
  • Nucleotides and vitamins for immune system support
  • Peroxidase, lactoferrin and polysaccharides for immune functions
  • Support to heal the G.I. tract, especially leaky gut syndrome
  • Effectiveness in treatment of the following disorders, but not limited to:
    • Thrombocytopenia
    • Anemia
    • Myasthenia Gravis
    • Guillain Barre Syndrome
    • Multiple Sclerosis
    • Systemic Lupus
    • Rheumatoid Arthritis
    • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
    • Crohn’s Disease

How should CapraColostrum be taken?

Researchers suggest starting with what is called a “loading dose” (larger doses initially, then reduced after results are obtained).

Loading dose:

  • Capsules: Take 2-4 capsules (1425-2850 mgs.) twice daily, on an empty stomach (first thing in the morning and at bedtime). Occasionally it may interfere with sleep, if it does, take second dose about two hours after lunch.
  • Powder: Take 1-2 scoops (1450-2900 mgs.) twice daily, on an empty stomach (first thing in the morning and at bedtime). Occasionally it may interfere with sleep, if it does, take second dose about two hours after lunch.

Maintenance:

  • Capsules: Take 2 capsules twice daily, on empty stomach.
  • Powder: Take 1,450 mg (one scoop) twice daily, on empty stomach.

Ingredients: Per Serving: Organic, Goat Milk Colostrum 1,425 mg & Goat Milk/Cream 25 mg.

Athletes: To improve performance and endurance, take 30-45 minutes before workout. Best results have been reported at about 2850-5700 mgs. per day.

Competitive athlete cautions: The insulin-like growth factors, IGF-I, found in colostrum, is similar to the body building substances in hGH, which is illegal for athletic use. The International Olympic Committee is looking into tests that will detect hGH. One proposed test measures levels of IGF-I in the blood that could lead to “clean” athletes who use colostrum to test positive. So, before you use colostrum, thoroughly check into the testing procedures used for the competition.

“Colostrum is the ideal solution  for Leaky Gut Syndrome. It reaches the gut while its components are still viable, its immunoglobulins and other factors can attack the offending pathogens in the intestines and prevent them from causing damage. The anti-aging factors have anti-inflammatory action and also help repair damaged cells in the lining, decreasing cellular spacing, thus preventing further leakage.”

Donald R. Henderson, M.D., respected gastroenterologist
